The Roof at Waterhouse, a rooftop cocktail bar, offers a splendid view of the Huangpu River and serves up the most creative concoctions and delectable appetizers to guests who come to this perfect cozy getaway in the city. To the side of the terrace is the elevated roof garden, where we grow lavenders as well as a wide variety of herbs such as mint, rosemary and basil. To the other side a lot of vegetables are planted, such as strawberries, peppers, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and eggplants. The aroma of the flowers like gardenia has filled the entire garden with a freshness and fragrance. This season, the roof at Waterhouse also presents four signature cocktails, which are Paradise, Negroni, Mojito and Cosmopolitan. Mint, one of the main ingredients for Mojito cocktail is all picked up from the roof garden so that the fresh flavor of the cocktail is assured. Meanwhile, the organic herbs and vegetables grow in the garden can be used as side dishes of cuisine in hotel western’s restaurant as well.
