秉承万豪国际集团全新推出的社会影响力和可持续发展平台‘服务360’的宗旨-致力于创造更多机会来帮助有需要的人, 备受瞩目的2018年万豪国际中国东区慈善高尔夫赛于上海华丽开杆。万豪国际中国东区酒店通过本届慈善高尔夫赛共募集了人民币838,650元善款, 将会捐献给万豪国际的慈善合作伙伴，姚基金，并用于支持中国贫困地区的教育事业。姚基金是著名前中国篮球运动员姚明于2008年发起并被公众所熟知的慈善公益组织。
本届慈善高尔夫赛在上海雅居乐滨海高尔夫俱乐部举行，共邀请了144位参赛选手，包括商业伙伴、赞助商、万豪国际集团的管理层等。
自2013年起，万豪国际与姚基金达成合作，共计划捐建7所希望小学，并支持姚基金举办“希望小学篮球季”，帮助贫困青少年参与到姚基金希望小学篮球季的活动中，感受体育带来的快乐。
“为了进一步加强中国儿童的教育事业，我们继续延续与姚基金的合作，目前已在西南地区捐建完成3所希望小学并支持了图书馆、电脑室等硬件资源，另外还连续支持了4届‘希望小学篮球季’。”万豪国际集团华东区商务理事会主席高炜东先生表示，“非常感谢我们的商业伙伴以及酒店的员工为慈善高尔夫赛做出的卓越贡献，他们与我们一同为推动中国贫困地区儿童慈善公益事业而努力。”

2018 年慈善高尔夫球赛聚集了遍布华东区22座城市的91家万豪酒店，囊括18个品牌万豪国际酒店。所有参赛者都体验到了周到的“万豪式”款待，18个球洞分别由不同的万豪品牌酒店呈现了独具特色的美味之旅。此次高尔夫慈善赛衷心感谢宝马集团、卡拉威及弓箭玻璃器皿（中国）有限公司对本次活动的倾情赞助和大力支持。慈善高尔夫一杆进洞的奖品为宝马630Li轿车一辆。在比赛结束后，所有选手将被邀请至雅居乐滨海高尔夫俱乐部欢享精彩纷呈的赛后颁奖活动以及酒会。

In line with Marriott International’s new social impact and sustainability platform, ‘Serve 360’, cluster hotels in East China today hosted the highly anticipated 2018 Marriott East China Charity Golf Tournament to empower those in need by creating opportunities. Marriott East China Hotels have raised RMB838, 650 through the Charity Golf that took place in Shanghai. All net proceeds will be donated to Marriott International’s charity partner, Yao Foundation, to support physical education in China’s rural areas. Yao Foundation is a highly regarded charity organization established in 2008 by the Chinese former basketball player, Yao Ming.
The charity golf tournament took place at the Shanghai Agile Mickelson Shanghai International Club with the participation of more than 144 golfers that included corporate customers, sponsorship partners and senior executives of Marriott International.
Since 2013, we have collaborated with the Yao Foundation, committed to establish seven Hope Primary schools and supporting the Yao Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Seasons.
“To further foster children’s education in China, we have extended the partnership and have established three Hope Primary Schools in the southwestern region of China. We have built libraries and computer rooms, donated necessary hardware, as well as provided supporting resources and organized four basketball seasons. ”said Alfred Gao, Chairman of Marriott East China Business Council. “We would like to thank our sponsors and associates for their kind support for this charity golf tournament. They will help our efforts in opening doors to a world of opportunities to the children in rural China.”

The 2018 tournament was jointly hosted by a cluster of 91 Marriott International hotels in 22 cities, including 18 brands. The participants were served with authentic “Marriott International” hospitality. Throughout the Golf Tournament Holes, 18 different Marriott branded hotels each offered a signature culinary journey to ensure an impressive event. We appreciated the great support from the platinum sponsors and they are BMW Group, Callaway and ARC Glassware (China) Co Ltd. The winner of the hole-in-one had the opportunity to win the prize of a BMW 630Li vehicle. Following the tournament, an award ceremony and reception was enjoyed by all players and participants in the Agile Mickelson Shanghai International Clubhouse.

Besides this annual Charity Golf Tournament, the Black Tie Gala Dinner, will take place in October and is the other major annual fundraising activity the Marriott East China hotels organize to raise funds for the Yao Foundation.
