Inspired by amphitheatres of the past, the glass-clad central building is cradled by two wings, built in cascading style to maximise the mesmerising views. Linking the two wings, a glass bridge appears effortlessly suspended on the 13th & 14th floor, offering unrivalled vistas across the Arabian Gulf and Palm Jumeirah. Housing the Vista Ballroom, it is one of the most spectacular events spaces in Dubai.
The structure's innovative theatre-like shape creates a sense of intimacy, with a series of playful spaces unfolding within. Taking centre stage, a towering 15-metre self-supporting glass cube, the largest of its kind, is an engineering feat. Entirely free of structural steel, the transparent cube seemingly floats in front of the hotel, allowing natural light to flood in and providing a view straight through to the pool, sea and beyond. Inside, beautiful twisting wooden structures reinforced with steel gracefully rise up to support the glass. Resembling a double helix, the snaking ‘ribbons of life' represent the DNA and heart of the hotel.
Also adjacent to the pool is the 1,675 sq. m. spa, the epitome of indoor-outdoor living. An impressive entranceway features a sequence of arches, with walls adorned with exquisite hand painted artwork, created exclusively for the hotel. Italian marble features predominately throughout, from the flooring to the double height ceiling in the Hammam. Outside, fourteen white standalone treatment ‘cubes' are scattered among palm trees, each with its hotel’s unique identity. Perforated triangles allow sunlight and fresh air to filter through, creating a seamless sense of connection to the natural elements and surrounding environment.
