Opening its door in December 2016, the highly anticipated Regent Chongqing is proud to introduce an all-day dining concept, Yu Kitchen. Helmed by Executive Chef Ismail Gerger, the menu will focus on our Chef’s simple and fresh approach to food, celebrating the rich variety and authenticity of flavors from across Asia, presented a la carte and in seasonal buffet selections. Enjoy the spices and curries of Southeast Asia, signature Chinese cuisine, the freshest seafood prepared Japanese style, and much more, amid a lively and inviting atmosphere.
Yu Kitchen’s unique setting offers high ceiling coupled with elegant and contemporary interiors. Chongqing’s heritage comes to life in the design through the use of traditional building materials that have been used for centuries in Chongqing - ceramic, jade, metal and lacquer. An open kitchen and city views are framed by French windows.
Originally from Turkey, Chef Gerger shaped his culinary style and depth of knowledge working with Michelin starred French chefs. With over 10 years extensive experience working for iconic hotel brands across the globe, such as Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Hyatt, Sofitel, Sheraton and Marriott, Chef Gerger diversified his repertoire by adopting cooking techniques specific to the various countries.
In celebration of it’s opening, Yu Kitchen is proud to present a special offer for the indulgent Seafood buffet. This buffet dinner presents the ultimate feast for seafood aficionados with a range of the freshest and finest oysters; Australian rock, Pacific and the favoured French gillardeau, freshly-cut sushi and sashimi, Thai seafood hotpot and Southeast Asian dishes. Meat lovers needn’t be disappointed with the Cut-of-the-day such as “Roast Veal Leg”. Traditional Chongqing and Sichuan dishes will also be served. Paying homage to Regent Taipei’s famous dessert selection, Yu Kitchen will be offering artisan ice-cream and an array of French delicacies.
