The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou Presents “Energy Stories In The Darkness” to Unite Guests

广州富力丽思卡尔顿酒店携手广东省博物馆“暗中想WE来”

March 25, 2017 – In its commitment to environmental conservation, The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou once again participated in Earth Hour, from 8:30pm to 9:30pm on Saturday, March 25, 2017. In accordance with the “Blue WE” theme in China this year, The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou worked together with the Guangdong Museum to present “Stories in the Darkness,” a class on energy conservation which took guests on a meaningful journey with lights out for an hour, as well as engaged children on the importance of environmental conservation with a Ritz Kids activity. Meanwhile, all the Ladies and Gentlemen continue to fulfill the purpose of The Ritz-Carlton Community Footprints program, together with environmental organizations around the world, using practical action to call for an environmentally friendly lifestyle.

In the 60 minutes of Earth Hour, the children with their parents enjoyed a Ritz Kids “Night Safari” which moved to the Carlton Room from the guestroom. The tutors from the Guangdong Museum hid colorful ores in tents and encouraged the children to search for them. Then the tutors explained the origin of ores and played fun games with the families. In addition, the children were taught how to generate electricity using fruits. In this valuable parent-child time, the young generation gained a deeper understanding of the meaning of environmental protection and the importance of energy. At the same time, their imagination and creativity were also stimulated.

2017年3月25日晚8:30至9:30是由世界自然基金会（WWF）发起的“地球一小时”全球公益活动。广州富力丽思卡尔顿酒店此次响应“蓝色WE来”主题，联手广东省博物馆一起带来了“暗中想WE来” 能源课堂，在熄灯一小时中开启一场了奇妙之旅。酒店全体绅士淑女们继续致力于丽思卡尔顿“社区足迹”公益宗旨，与世界各地的环保组织一起，以实际行动呼吁环保的生活方式。

“地球一小时”的60分钟里，丽思儿童-原野探奇之旅移步到了酒店的卡尔顿厅，在熄灭灯光的房间里搭起了帐篷。来自博物馆的老师们将绚丽多彩的矿物藏在了帐篷里，掀起了孩子们探寻宝藏的好奇心。然后老师专业解答了矿石的起源，并设置了趣味游戏以家庭单位完成。另外，孩子们还在老师的指导下体验了水果发电，进一步强调了能源的重要性。在这难得的亲子时光里，让孩子们了解了保护环境的意义，并激发了他们的想象力与创造力。
