Shimao Property Holdings and Starwood Capital Group Create New Hotel Management Company

世茂喜达酒店管理公司耀世新生，布局中高端酒店市场

Shimao Property Holdings Limited ("Shimao"), a leading Chinese property developer and operator, and Starwood Capital Group, a leading global private investment firm, today announced that controlled affiliates of the two companies have closed on a previously announced hotel management joint venture, Shanghai Shimao Star Hotel Management Co., Ltd. The press conference announcing the inception of the joint venture was held in Shanghai on July 11, with a number of real estate insiders and journalists attending the event. 

Shimao Group vice chairman Jason Hui said, when delivering a speech at the press conference, "As a leading Chinese property developer dedicated to corporate social responsibility, Shimao Group is a firm supporter of the central government's macroeconomic development policies. We plan to take full advantage of our internal strengths and establish partnerships with best in breed international real estate firms like Starwood Capital Group and establish a solid footprint in the three,four and five star hospitality markets, paving the way for Chinese hospitality brands to take their rightful place on the global stage."

日前，世茂集团与喜达屋资本集团宣布强强联手，成立全新的合资酒店公司——上海世茂喜达酒店管理有限公司（以下简称“世茂喜达”）。7月11日，新成立的世茂喜达酒店管理公司在上海举办了隆重的新闻发布会，备受关注。世茂喜达的背后，一方是中国房地产界的领袖企业——世茂集团，一方是世界领先的私募基金公司——喜达屋资本集团，因此吸引了众多行业人士及媒体出席。
